History

Braun Linen has been the leading provider of textile products for over 80 years.

In 1929 George Braun Sr. started the business, then called Reliable Towel Service to supply barber and beauty towels. Later George started washing school towel for the Los Angeles school district. The company consisted of an office located in Los Angeles.

In 1932 George Sr. bought an existing laundry facility in Watts and began doing his own processing. December of 1945 George Junior started working for the company later in April 1946 his son Bill began to work for the family business. In 1946 the name Braun Towel and Linen Service. In 1955 Richard Cornwell joined the family business after marrying George Sr. daughter Jean.

In 1958 Braun Linen Service purchased a second plant in Redlands and another laundry plant in Pomona in 1960. In 1971 they Watts plant moved to Paramount where today the plant still resides as the corporate headquarters.

Today Braun Linen Service continues to grow as a family business in the restaurant, hotels and uniform rentals. Braun Linen Service is now managed by Scott Cornwell who is President and the third generation with 35 years of experience in the commercial laundry industry. The fourth generation roots are established. Scott is excited to see his son Scott Jr. Cornwell and nephew Brandon Cornwell express interest in the family owned and operated business.
